The Empire is Founded
The Spartan Niner Empire is established as an official San Francisco 49ers Booster Club, uniting the most passionate 49ers fans in the Bay Area and beyond.
The 49er Invasion is Born — Atlanta
The Spartan Niner Empire organizes the first-ever 49er Invasion away game in Atlanta, Georgia. A Yellow Lot tailgate party that would change 49ers fan culture forever. Dr. John York witnesses the magic firsthand.
Nashville — The Invasion Goes Official
The 49er Invasion tradition takes root in Nashville. The 49ers organization, inspired by what they saw in Atlanta, begins embracing and promoting the away-game invasion concept. The Spartan Niner Empire leads the charge.
Bourbon Street & Coach Shanahan's Words
The Empire takes over Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan calls the Spartan Niner Empire's energy "one of the coolest things I've ever seen." E-40 shows the crew some love — young hyenas in uniform.
Detroit Invasion
The 49er Invasion continues to grow. Ford Field in Detroit becomes another example of the Spartan Niner Empire's ability to transform any away stadium into a home game for the 49ers faithful.
A Decade of Empire
